CANDLE SAFETY
You must follow proper candle burning etiquette and keep wicks trimmed. Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Wooden wicks are not self trimming and need to be trimmed to an 1/8″ before each burn and may require trimming during a burn if your flame starts to get too high. Keeping your wooden wicks trimmed is essential. An un-trimmed wick can lead to higher flames, hotter burner temperatures and sooting. It can also lead to a candle that will not stay lit.
Do not leave your candle burning unattended. Allow the candle to burn long enough so the melt pool reaches the sides of the bowl to avoid tunneling. (May not reach the edge on the first burn, or at all, due to the angles of some vessels) Keep out of reach of children and pets when lit, and only enjoy on a safe level heat resistant surface. Stop burning when you can see the top part of silver wick clip.
When your candle is done, it can be cleaned out and added to your décor or refilled. Excess wax can be scooped out and placed in a wax warmer to keep enjoying your fragrance. To clean the bowl, pop off the silver wick clips. (They are secured with glue.) There are many ways to clean out you finished candle that can be found on YouTube. One is to melt wax with a hair dryer, empty and then wipe clean with paper towels. Another is to pour boiling water into your vessel, wait for all wax to come loose and then clean out. Wash hands thoroughly after coming in contact with fragranced wax.
Your empty pottery vessel is extremely stunning piece, and can be used with any décor. It makes a stunning centerpiece or coffee table display. You can find a lot of bowl filler ideas on Pinterest as well.
